Supervision is essential for ensuring the implementation of safe, effective, high quality interventions, empowering and developing clinicians and promoting practitioner wellbeing.
I offer supervision in ACT to mental health professionals and have a particular interest in supporting the development of those who are new to this approach. In addition to completing the West Midlands Clinical Psychology Supervisor Training and Recognition (STAR) Programme and additional training as part of the BPS Approved Certificate in Supervision, I have also undertaken specialist training in ACT supervision using the SHAPE framework (Morris & Bilich-Eric, 2017) and SEED model (Bradley & Lucas, 2023).
My values in supervision are curiosity, connection and collaboration.
Using the SHAPE framework and SEED model, I help practitioners to: (1) Build their competencies by deliberately practicing new tasks that support the development of ACT skills. (2) Reflect on their interventions by exploring the context and functions of behaviour. (3) Experiment creatively with experiential methods by building a safe working alliance.
Supervision sessions are available face to face at premises in Stone or online via Zoom.
