Therapy Approaches

I specialise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - a third wave form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - which has been shown to be effective for a wide range of problems. ACT works by helping you build a life worth living whilst teaching you a set of skills to help you handle painful experiences so they have less impact and influence over you.

I also draw on a range of other evidence based models and therapies to develop an agreed plan with you – based on an understanding of your individual needs and circumstances, the difficulties you would like to work on and the outcomes you would like to achieve.

Some of the other therapeutic approaches I use are:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Behavioural Psychology
Attachment Theory
Relational Frame Theory
Positive Psychology
Mindfulness
Fees
